Excise duty on Small Cars has reduced in India.

P. Chidambaram (Indian Finance minister) has given a gift to Indian market yesterday when he announced the duty reduction to 12% from 16%.
This will make small cars more affordable.

Here I am showing you the various changes in Car Prices:-

Price reduced:-

Hyundai:-

Basic Model ->Rs12000-14000
Getz->Rs14000-16000
I10->Rs12000-16000

Maruti:-

Maruti 800 ->Rs6500

Swift Diesel->Rs18030

Hybrid Cars Excise duty has reduced from 24% to 12%.

Busses and their chassis excise duty have also reduced 4% (From 16% to 12 %).
